A developer builds what you tell them to build. I figure out what actually needs to be built, and those are often very different things. I have spent over 20 years as an operator, a COO, a CEO, and a Chief Flight Instructor before I ever wrote a line of code. That background means I approach every engagement from the business first and the technology second.
